  1. Register your device with the Nokia Mobile Web Server gateway

Register for a mobile url like http://yourname.mymobilesite.net by filling out the form at https://secure.mymobilesite.net/register/
  2. Download Nokia MobileWeb Server

The Nokia MobileWeb Server can be downloaded by pointing the device browser to http://download.mymobilesite.net or by downloading a .SIS file from https://secure.mymobilesite.net/download/. The .SIS file can then be transferred to the device through Nokia PC Suite.
  3. Install Nokia MobileWeb Server

If the Mobile Web Server was downloaded through the device browser, accept the installation request when the download completes. If .SIS file was downloaded through PC, use PC Suite to transfer it to the device. PC Suite will ask if the application should be installed, accept that request. Simply follow the installation process, but note that the mobileWeb server has to be installed to the c: drive, main memory, of the device for the Web services to work.
  4. Download MobileWeb Services distribution

The MobileWeb Services distribution can be downloaded from http://mobilews.mobcal.com/webservices_distro_source.zip, either by pointing the device browser to that location or by downloading it to a PC and then transfer it to the device with PC Suite.
  5. Unpack MobileWeb Services distribution

If downloaded with the device browser, the device ZIP utility will open the file automatically when the download finishes. If the zip file was downloaded to a PC and then transferred to the device with PC Suite, PC Suite will display an information message on where the file was saved. Open the file by opening "Menu" -> "Tools" -> "File mgr." and navigate to the location of the file and open the file. It should open in the device ZIP utility. Once the ZIP file is opened choose "Options" -> "Mark/Unmark" -> "Mark all". When all the files are marked choose "Option" -> "Extract". You will then be asked where to extract the files, choose "Phone memory" -> "Web server" -> "htdocs" and press Select. The archive will then be unzipped into a folder webservices under the htdocs folder.
  6. Download pyLaunch.sis

In order for the mobile Web services to use GUI functionality and functionality beyond the capabilities assigned to the Mobile Web Server, the pyLaunch application has to be installed. Aself signed .sis can be downloaded from
http://mobilews.mobcal.com/pyLaunch_selfsigned.sis and is sufficient to enable GUI functionality. Simply download and install that by pointing the device browser to the URL or download it to PC and install it with PC Suite. However to enable functionality beyond the capabilities assigned to the Mobile Web Server, an unsigned .sis needs to be downloaded and then signed with a certificate from Symbian. In that case download http://mobilews.mobcal.com/pyLaunch_unsigneddevcert.sis to your PC and follow the instructions in the next step.
  7. Symbian sign pyLaunch

If the self signed pyLaunch .sis was downloaded in the previous step this step can be skipped. To enable functionality beyond the capabilities assigned to the Mobile Web Server, pyLaunch has to be signed with a certificate with the required capabilities. The easiest way to do that is to sign the unsigned pyLaunch .sis file with a development certificate from Symbian Signed. That can be done through the online service https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/page/public/openSignedOnline.do. To get the IMEI number of your device simply enter

    *#06#

Location is needed to read information about the device location from GPS utility. ReadDeviceData is needed to read the Cell-id. NetworkServices is used to allow the application to use data services to send response back to the calling application, for example when asking the user a question.
  8. Start Nokia Mobile Web Server

To start the Mobile Web Server open ”Menu” -> ”Applications” -> ”Web Server” -> ”Options” -> ”Start server” After completing the above steps the MobileWeb Server withWeb service support should be setup and ready to use. WSDL files for installed services can now be retrieved through https://maggi.mymobilesite.net/webservices/py/.py
